Holly & James Wedding at Millennium Hotel in Downtown Minneapolis MN was captivating!
We met Holly at the bridal show in St.Paul. When we met, I remember her coming back to my booth multiple times because she was captivated by my images. Shortly after, they booked me to capture their day. We captured their engagement session and then coming up to their wedding, she calls for her final timeline walk-through and told me that she just had her sleeve finished so of course, I needed to capture that on her day.
Their wedding was held at the beautiful Millennium Hotel in Downtown Minneapolis. This is a very unique venue in the Twin Cities as they have a large dome on the roof where they hold all their ceremonies and dances. It is right near Loring Park which allowed us to take a short walk over for their creatives.
Holly and James also decided that they would enjoy a bridal session after their wedding. We found a time that worked for us both and we headed up to Duluth! We traveled all over the area to capture unique images and it even snowed on us during this session.
We met online! We had matched together on a dating website and decided to get to know each other. We didn’t end up dating until over a year later.
The most important part for both of us was photography. Everyone always talks about how quickly the day passes and I knew I wanted amazing pictures to capture all the moments I might have missed or forgotten about along the way.
Our venue was the inspiration. The ceremony and reception were held in such a unique architectural room that it would have been a disservice to distract from the beauty that was already there.
Favorite memory by far was all of the dancing. There wasn’t a single dull moment on the dance floor.
The feeling of the whole day was magical. Everything looked beautiful, from the venue to the guests, to the decor. The atmosphere was lively and serene simultaneously. It was an incredible day.

Why did you choose your venue?
We were in awe of the beautiful glass dome for the ceremony and reception. The staff was great and the catered food from their own restaurant was amazing!
